Got into Bond University to study Masters of Finance and uni starts next week
Had a job interview on Friday, it was the second one and waiting to hear back from them. If I get the job I won't go back to uni. So waiting game at this point of time. I thought it went quite well.
Had a sausage fest last night for a friends birthday!! Big night, with big consequences
Played soccer today with a hangover - getting quite frustrated with it at the moment cos we can't seem to win
People are cooking an assortment of ribs at the moment for another friends birthday. BBQ is starting in about 10 mins.
Had to do the contact hours for centrelink thing for the last few weeks
4/23/09 08:52 pm
have a job interview on Monday - I am going to get this job I can just sense it!! Why wouldn't they want to employ me.
Meanwhile I have a back up plan which is to go back to University. I have applied at Bond University to do my Masters of Finance. It'll keep me busy whilst this recession thing is happening.
Went wakeboarding for the first time the other day. On a boat one anyway. Much easier than cable wakeboarding.
Looking forward to catching up with everyone at Jesse's wedding. Everyone I hope you guys pack your fun. Also thanks Ben for offering how to tune, and no there is not a 6th person.
Went out to the lychee lounge and places down the West End strip - not a place you want to be drinking if you don't have a job.
Enjoying playing soccer, now that I have been put up in striker. I was robbed a goal on the weekend when the hand of god happen to come down and handball my goal on the line. We had the penalty but I didn't get to take it. Thats fine, it just means I have to score a goal this weekend.
Peace Out

If you haven't already you need to check out www.stuffwhitepeoplelike.com. Its pretty entertaining
Number 76: Bottled Water
Water seems like a fairly simple concept. You turn on the tap, put glass underneath, and drink. Sadly, it is not this simple for white people.
On the whole, they are unable to put a glass under a tap and just drink. In fact, this is such a strange concept that the city of New York had to launch a rather large PR campaign to show white people that it was possible to actually drink the water that comes out of the tap!
Up until this point, white people were consuming most of their water in the form of expensive bottles like Fiji, Aquafina and Dasanai. To this day, many white people continue to get their water in this fashion, and it is important to be aware about how your choice of water can say a lot about who you are.
Logically, you would assume that drinking the most expensive premium bottled water (Fiji and Voss) would be enough to show the world that you are too good for tap water. And a few years ago, you would have been right. But lately, advanced white people have been getting very upset about all of the waste that comes with drinking 15-20 bottles per week.
The leading edge of white people have started to use sturdier, refillable bottles. But do not assume this is from the tap. Most white people need to run their water through some sort of filter (Brita or PUR) before they put it into their bottle. This allows them to feel good about using a refillable bottle, but it also makes it more complicated, which they also like.
Previously, the gold standard was the Nalgene bottle, however recent studies have shown the plastic can leak toxins into the water. Currently, white people on the cutting edge are really into metal bottles of water with a twist cap. It is recommended that you buy one of these as soon as possible.
Having one will give you precious leverage over any white person who is drinking from a plastic bottle. “Oh bottled water? really? I mean it’s cool, but I kind of thought you cared about the earth.” If you see someone drinking a Fiji water, you do have the opportunity to go in for the kill. “Do you know that your bottle of water has a bigger carbon footprint than me? I think they were originally going to call it ‘aboriginal blood’ but that bottle was as close as they could get. You know, legally.”
Again, this should only be used in extreme situations.
Following your confrontation, the white person is likely to have a metal bottle just like yours. If this happens, there will be an implicit pact whereby they will do favors for you provided you do not tell everyone they got their bottle after you

- Living in between Brisbane and the Gold Coast at the moment. - Family time down on the Gold Coast, social time up in Brisbane - Motivation = Lacking - Jobs = lacking - Am going to miss out on Quinn Christmas this year which sucks (I had so many great grab box presents which include a lot of my old works merchandise) - Taught my neice to say "Poo Poo Pants" - New years = going camping out whoop whoop, I am not too sure if I can be bothered going - Had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. Had to go under whilst they extract my teeth.

Noosa Triathalon was on, on the weekend! - 15 of us cramped into two townhouses in Noosa which was on the beach. Guys racing, were in the zone on the friday and Saturday - carbo loading, no drinking, and it seem like no talking whilst the rest of us drunk beer, played guitar went swimming and relaxed on the beach.
A dare was summons on Sunday - it involved one of the guy swimming 100m across the channel with one arm up out of the water with a sausage in hand from where we were staying. The next part of the dare was getting someone on the otherside to eat this sausage by asking them "Will you eat my sausage". Rules included that he couldn't say that it was a dare and the person having to eat the sausage had to be someone from the otherside of the river. - we were proud to say that the dare was completed after a great deal of convincing and great sports getting involved.
Cheered on people in the triathalon especially people with beards..."go beard man" some even sported the aerodynamic beard and people with DT's. We were really looking for someone with both a beard and DT's! He would of won people's choice award.

I have just realised that the famous fat people all live in Mexico. Recently on the news there was the fattest person in the world passing away, which required 20 men to lower the coffin into the ground and also another fat man just got married. They required to alter the hall so that he could fit inside the church. Go figure, what do they put in all those tacos?
10/15/08 11:46 am
I went home this weekend to do my tax. I didn't quite complete it but i did use my reciepts to make a very smart jacket. :)
My mum has helped me during this world economic crisis by cooking me lasagne, chicken pie, chocolate and Macadamia cookies, stir fry for the week. I am heading back there on Sunday to pick up next weeks of food! Go mum...
Played my second game of touch football yesterday. First game I scored a try on debut thats right I am awesome. I also got fair play points because of this. Second game I scored another try too!!! I don't really know the rules let alone the tactics so I just follow Big Baz who feeds the ball to me and I run. Touch is a fun game!
Went swimming with Jenevski the other day. We went to the pool at my gym, however because Jenevksi is not a memeber she had to pay $19 what a rip off! I felt bad, but then it went away. Swimming is really exhausting and after it you just want to eat because you feel so hungry.
Finish up work here on the 7th of November so tonight we are trying to get as much mileage out of the suncorp tickets that we have. Hopefully some interview next week fingers crossed. But there isn't much on at the market. Days like now, I wish I was a public servant!
9/25/08 10:24 am
Things have been a bit shaky of late (workwise) but you get that! Our company is going into administration and at the moment I am at work either on facebook, livejournal, doing lunch, or watching the sopranos whilst waiting for a redundacy payout. They are selling parts of the company off and a division wants me to go over with their team once they have sold the division off. So there are things in the pipe. Now i need is the faith that everything will work out alright...I don't want to move to sydney or melbourne.
I was in my car last night on the way to small group and I could feel my clutch of my car slipping. It was progressively getting worse as it the car began to grind and crunch. It was to the point where I couldn't get the car into first that it really started to worry me. I was at the lights in neutral and it took me a good 3 mins to find a gear...any gear! I got it into second and drove all the way down coronation drive in second until i could find a car park. So today I am trying to sort that out.
In other news, its warming up here which means we are heading to the beach this saturday and then watching the grandfinals. Lots of runs lately as the guys are training for the noosa triathalons and starting to get into swimming. We went to the 2XU store here in southbank, which is a whole store dedicated to tri clothing. I like the running and swimming part of the tri, but I really can't justify paying $2k for a decent bike...not now anyway.

There is a quote from the movie "Eagle Vs Shark" where the character is pissed off at her sister and quotes..."well...I hope you die of diabetes!" It was actually quite funny.
We went to the pub of Friday night, and whilst waiting in the proper taxi cue a taxi pulls up on the other side of the road and picks up some guys who had only just walked out of the pub. We were furious, because it was cold and we really wanted to get home!! In reaction to the anger that was burning inside, one of my friends yells out "I hope you die of diabetes" thinking it was funny and completely harmless.
The lady next us in the line goes..."ive got diabetes!"..."you guys suck"..
We replied "do you really?"
She shows us her diabetes bracelet and says "see I have the bracelet"
She was actually quite angry and personalised our comments!! How do you respond to this...
So we replied "Well its a really nice bracelet"
Luckily our taxi arrived and we hoped in it and was whisked home!
Went to the Roar game lastnight! 1-1 against Adelaide United. Saw Jabra, ate japanese and drunk with him on the friday night before he headed to Cairns. Went to Movieworld on Saturday! The superman ride is a must go to!

Took Janelle and family to the Broncos game on Friday and saw them get up by one point. Every game that I have seen in Suncorp the team that I have been behind have always won!!!
Saturday, I had the biggest headache every, and it wasn't going away. Went to Paddington on Saturday night. A group of us did a gallery walk. It's one night where a group of galleries would open for the night and you would do a tour of them all. Lots of wine, lots of pictures of fruits but none of dogs playing poker, nor did I see a flame within a flame...mmm conceptual. No purchases. The lead singer from Wolfmother was browsing by himself, ha what a loner.

It has been a long weekend in QLD.
We went to Bribie Island for the long weekend for a fishing trip. Headed up on Saturday afternoon, played pool all night Saturday and watched the football (well its rugby for them, I am slowly getting use to this weird game). Sunday morning one the guys dad brought up his new spanking $60k boat and we cruised around the blue waters for fish. We didn't catch much but the day was beautiful and the water was calm. Fed a pod of dolphins some fish, cruised to Moreton Island to one of the resorts to play a game of pool and grab some beer. 2 six pack of TEDS cost us $39.00!!! That is a price of a carton.
The girls stayed on land and cooked us dinner!!!
Just got back, just had a shower, going to get some food, iron my clothes, and prepare for bible study tomorrow morning at 7o'clock.
4/28/08 03:49 pm
Big Trozza came up on Wednesday to spend the weekend with me which was good.
I had just flown back from Sydney on Wednesday earlier so it meant two trips to the airport in one night. We stayed in Brisbane for a few days and went out for dinner, took long walks on the river...you know the usual. I drag Troy along to Kaylene's going away bbq, which we were the first 2 people there. I love to be prompt with the hingstons events.
We headed to the Gold Coast and took Tony out for dinner! Troy and my dad got along like a house on fire, talking about business, money, and the huang/streefland gates. We went for a few drinks at the pub before going to the movies. Now, we thought to ourselves, we have had a few and we probably need to go to the toilet a few times during the movie...so we thought that we better see a movie that doesn't require too much concentration and decided to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall. We bought our tickets and headed to the cinema except we went to the wrong one and ended up watching Street Kings (either that or it was the longest preview to a movie we ever saw). Good Movie.
Headed to dreamworld and white water world the next morning. Dreamworld is boring but the new white water world was sick!!! My recommendation, go to water parks, they go off. Troy proceeded to take out a 5 year old on the water slide when he was coming down. He took him 5 meters with him. I am guessing you probably know who came out second best. Did I mention it was the Nickelodeon part of the park which is meant for little kids. Troy's defence "the lifeguard said that I could go"
We have another long weekend coming up!!
You are update.
